NIIMA "Progress" conducted tests of GNSS antennae of its own design
NIIMA "Progress" (part of Group of Companies "Element", MOEX:ELMT) conducted test exploitation of its own GNSS antennae designed to operate in conditions of intentional interference. Company's specialists, in cooperation with geodetic equipment manufacturer "EFT GROUP" LLC (EFT GROUP brand), demonstrated capabilities of GNSS antennae of their own design to Astrakhan surveyors.
GNSS antennae of PRO-ANT-RS series are designed to provide high-quality reception of satellite signals in conditions of re-reflection or intentional interference.
Earlier tests conducted on the territory of Moscow and the Moscow region in conditions of intentional interference have shown that for normal operation of satellite geodetic equipment, it is necessary to use antennae capable of filtering out interference. An examination of existing market for external satellite antennae has shown that there are no solutions that meet requirements for an optimal price-quality ratio. Therefore, NIIMA "Progress" management decided to develop mock-up antenna samples to solve such problems. Work of designers resulted in a creation of a line of PRO-ANT-RS antenna layouts, where each layout solves a certain range of tasks, but most importantly, reduces an impact of artificial and natural interference on received signal quality.
When testing antennae in the Astrakhan region, existing geodetic points located in an area of intentional interference were used as reference coordinates. Test results showed complete compliance of the PRO-ANT-RS antennae with calculated parameters, as well as possibilities for improving technical characteristics.
