We participate in XVI International scientific and practical conference "Geodesy. Mine surveying. Aerial photography. Navigation"
On February 13-14, "NIIMA "Progress" took part in the XVI International scientific and practical conference "Geodesy. Mine surveying. Aerial photography. Navigation" in Moscow. The event was attended by Andrey Gennadyevich Zimin, head of mixed microwave modules development department, Aleksey Ivanovich Razumovskiy, head of department, Yury Georgievich Noyanov, software engineer, and Igor Yuryevich Kutuzov, head of systems and services sales department.
A. I. Razumovsky presented a report on a topic "Virtual base station of the ProGeoNet project" telling about advantages of using VRS (virtual base stations). According to his words, reliability, accuracy and time required to obtain a fixed RTK solution depend on a distance from a base station, and if at a distance of up to 15 km, atmospheric influences are insignificant, then over 40 km, it is necessary to take into account tropospheric and ionospheric delays of radio signals. A spatial VRS model developed by "NIIMA "Progress" takes these effects into account, demonstrating obvious advantages in relation to direct RTK mode.
Import substitution of geodetic hardware and software systems remains a relevant topic. Yu. G. Noyanov spoke on this in more details. "NIIMA "Progress" is currently actively developing a geodetic system, with a key element being a PRO-GEO GNSS receiver. Up to now, Russia did not have its own specialized VLSI for geodetic class receivers, so a development of its own VLSI will allow to offer devices with a high degree of localization to the Russian GNSS market. A preproduction model of the GNSS receiver was presented at a stand. Also, guests were able to see a PRO-ANT antenna, a PRO-VHF modem series and a Choke-ring, which is a high-precision antenna for base stations to prevent multi-reflections.
Following all presentations, a conference organizing committee presented Yuri Noyanov with a diploma and a gift in the "Best Report" nomination, noting relevance of the topic and a presentation of information.
