NIIMA "Progress" presented the PRO-GEO software and hardware complex to NIIAS JSC 

NIIMA Progress (part of the Group of Companies "Element", MOEX:ELMT) presented "NIIAS" JSC (part of the Russian Railways holding) with its own PRO-GEO hardware and software complex. Colleagues got acquainted with technical features and capabilities of the system at an annual technical seminar "Positioning Technologies in Railway Transport" with a main topic devoted to an application of high-precision navigation systems for railways.

To ensure transportation safety, NIIMA "Progress" offers, in particular, a "ProGeoNet" cloud GNSS data processing service, which is a part of the PRO-GEO system. The service is designed to control permanently working GNSS stations and to create a continuous coordinate space. A separate service module offers VRS technology (virtual base station). It allows one to obtain coordinates of objects with high accuracy (RTK) in conditions of strong interference inside a base stations contour.

Another solution of NIIMA "Progress", a "ProGeoAgro" agricultural mapping software and hardware complex, may also find its application in the railway transportation industry. The AI-based solution was originally developed for agricultural mapping of fields, greenhouses and orchards. However, an ability to quickly configure "ProGeoAgro" modules to solve tasks related to high-precision coordination allows monitoring, assessment, analysis and forecasting of tracks and railway facilities technical condition.

NIIMA "Progress" plans to test capabilities of the PRO-GEO complex at the "NIIAS" JSC test site to designate further areas of cooperation.
