NIIMA "Progress": on possibilities of a geodetic complex PRO-GEO at a conference in Kaliningrad
NIIMA "Progress" (part of Group of Companies "Element", MOEX:ELMT) participated in All-Russian scientific and practical conference "New Technologies in Subsoil Use" held from October 20 to 25 in Kaliningrad. Among participants of the event are heads and specialists of scientific, design and oil and gas production organizations. The conference was dedicated to scientific and technical developments in the field of industrial safety and surveying and became a platform for demonstrating latest achievements in ensuring technological sovereignty of Russia.
Import substitution of geodetic complexes became an urgent topic of discussion. As part of a business program, Company's expert spoke on key development of NIIMA "Progress", a high-precision satellite geodetic complex PRO-GEO, which is applicable, among other things, to ensure industrial safety and to perform surveying operations. The PRO-GEO complex is a line of solutions that includes a GNSS receiver, a series of antennae and modems, as well as software.
The speaker drew special attention to the fact that receiver created is a transitional model. In 2026-2027, it will be produced using an integrated circuit (ASIC) of Company's own design, which will compete with analogues developed and manufactured in China. Another important topic of the event was a discussion of domestic solutions for managing networks of GNSS base stations and providing services. In particular, "ProGeoNet" cloud solution was discussed. It was created by NIIMA "Progress" on the basis of NTRIP caster and is designed to control permanently operating GNSS stations and to create a continuous coordinate space in a customer service area of satellite geodetic and navigation equipment. One of advantages of the solution is a virtual base station (VRS) technology. It calculates corrections to obtain receiver coordinates precisely and monitors quality of base stations in continuous operation mode.
The solutions of NIIMA "Progress" aroused great interest and positive feedback among participants, who noted their relevance, professional approach and practical significance for the entire industry.
